Bellalala in the News - She's been Busy!

Jan 2004: FACS 2004 Calendar. Bellalala is the cover girl and Miss November on the Australian Government Department of Family and Community Services calendar for 2004. Special thanks to Gareth Wreford from DADAA for his nomination and support. Also special thanks to Belinda Mason-Lovering for capturing the essence of Bellalala in her photography.

Dec 2003: Hype Marketing - ColourGlow Bella auditions for ColourGlow as the new "Miss Pink" in the performance group C4 which is designed as an innovative marketing initiative for a range of children's bath-time products. Bellalala is considered perfect for the role and we all hope she is chosen thereby helping to gain more exposure for Bellalala on commercial television.

Dec 2003: First Light Photography Bellalala's first demo album is played as the background music for David Clare's 20 year retrospective photographic exhibition. Held in a beautiful church, it was a sell out success. Congratulations David.

Nov 2003: Australia Council Grant Submitted application to The Australia Council for a grant to produce an album of Bellalala's singing. Hopefully they can see the merit in Bellalala so some of the recording costs can be covered. Thank you to all who have donated their time and talents to support Bellalala to date.

Oct 2003: Breast Cancer Council Bellalala is requested to design and create a skirt for the Breast Cancer Council. Special thanks to Belinda Mason-Lovering for the photography and support. A great learning experience was had by all.

Oct 2003: Myer Foundation Award Bella is nominated for an individual Myer Foundation Award. Check out the text on their site. Right down Bellalala's alley. Fingers crossed.

Sept 2003: Footy Show. Bella is talent for a "brilliant" new company - Sexy Smiles. The contact is through work done on a branding and launch campaign. The Footy Show kindly offered a spot on their successful television program and Bella really sparkles. Special thanks to the Sexy Smiles team and to Daryl for making the stage Bellalala's stage.

Aug 2003: Ace Directorship Nomination Bella is asked by, no less than, the chairman to apply for a directorship available on the board of ACE - The Australian Communications Exchange, an organisation representing the hearing impaired by improving telecommunications via technology. With her experience Bella is ideally suited to the role. Thanks to Peter Miller (chairman ACE board) for his nomination.

July 2003: Plastic Coated Chips It's finished! Bella's first album. A dream come true and a fantastic journey. Bellalala - Plastic Coated Chips is all about evoking an emotional response via the universal language of music. Targeting a potentially huge hearing impaired market - all demographics, all ages, by presenting well known songs from a number of eras in her own beautiful interpretations.

Apr 2003: Veronica James Science Challenge Held at Sydney University, The Veronica James Science Challenge is an annual event providing an outlet for hearing impaired children and their parents to participate in science related activities and have a bit of fun. Bellalala was an instructor and the visiting fairy for the day. She now has a whole bunch of new friends. Love you too big kids!

Mar 2003: Launched the Bellalala web site. The site is designed as an extension to the research journey Bella has undertaken with her new found ears and renewed voice. By creating knowledge and awareness about hearing impairments Bellalala endeavours to provide inspiration and encouragement to people who need it. You CAN do anything you want to do. You just have to believe. Glad to see you here.
